PNG to PDF Converter

To turn your PNG images into a PDF, add them to the box above, drag them into the order you want and press the red button under the settings. It is the quickest way to combine PNG files into one PDF: screenshots, charts, scanned pages or logos, one image or hundreds, each one becomes a page of a single tidy document in a few seconds.

Everything happens in your browser, so your images are not uploaded. The page preview shows how every page will look before you download, and with the default Original quality setting each PNG keeps every one of its pixels.

PNG is a great format for screenshots, diagrams and graphics with sharp edges, but a set of PNG files is still a loose pile of separate images. A PDF puts them together as one document, in a fixed order, at a fixed page size. One file with ten pages is easier to send, open, print and check than ten separate pictures, and the receiver cannot shuffle the pages by accident.

Turning multiple PNG to one PDF takes a single step: select them all at once, or drop the whole set on the box. Every image becomes a page in one PDF, in the order shown in the grid. There is no limit of two or three files as in many free tools. You can add up to 500 pictures at a time, about 1 GB in total, which is what a browser tab handles comfortably.

If you need a separate PDF for each image instead, open More options and choose One PDF per picture (ZIP) under Output. You get one ZIP file with a PDF for every PNG, named after the image. To join PDFs you already have, use Merge PDF, and to take pages out of one, use Split PDF.

Getting PNG to PDF in order matters most for documents, chats and step-by-step guides. The grid above the settings shows every picture with its position number, and that is exactly the page order of the PDF. Drag a picture with the mouse, or press and hold it for a moment on a touch screen, then drop it where it belongs.

For long lists, Sort is quicker. Name A–Z and Name Z–A understand numbers, so Screenshot 2 comes before Screenshot 10 instead of after it. Newest first and Oldest first use the date each file was saved, which suits a series of screenshots taken one after another, and Reverse order flips the whole list.

Keyboard users can move pictures too: focus a picture, press Space to pick it up, move it with the arrow keys and press Space again to drop it. Undo and Redo (Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y) cover every move, and Page numbers in More options make the order clear to the reader.

Screenshots are almost always saved as PNG, so this page doubles as a quick screenshot to PDF tool. Use it for online receipts and order confirmations, chat conversations you want to keep, error messages for a support ticket, booking pages or slides from a video call.

On Windows, press Windows+Shift+S, select an area, then come back to this page and press Ctrl+V. The screenshot is added straight from the clipboard, with no file to save first. On a Mac, Command+Control+Shift+4 copies an area to the clipboard, and Command+V pastes it here. On phones, take the screenshots as usual and pick them from your photo gallery.

Long chats often run over several screenshots. Add them all and choose Sort, Oldest first, so they follow the conversation. Page size Same as picture with Margin None gives each screenshot a page with no white border.

Many PNG files have transparent parts: a logo without a box around it, a signature, a sticker or an icon. When you convert a transparent PNG to PDF here with Original quality, the transparency is kept. The see-through areas show the page underneath, which is white unless you change it.

Want the logo on a coloured page? Open More options and choose Page background: White, Light grey, Black or any custom colour. The page preview shows the result straight away, so you can check a white logo on a black page before you download anything.

One thing to know: Smaller, the size limits such as Under 100 KB, and the Auto enhance, Grayscale and Black & white colour options re-save each picture as a JPG, and JPG has no transparency. In those cases the transparent areas become white. If you need the see-through parts on a coloured background, stay on Original quality and Colour.

PNG is a lossless format, and with Original quality it stays that way. Each image is placed in the PDF with every pixel it had and no JPG compression, so you get PNG to PDF without losing quality: small text in a screenshot, thin lines in a chart and the edges of a logo look exactly as in the original file.

The picture is not resized either. On an A4 or Letter page it is shown smaller or larger to fit, but all of its pixels are stored, so you can zoom in on the PDF and still see the full detail.

The trade-off is size: the PDF will be roughly as large as the PNG files together, and PNG screenshots can be big. When you need a smaller file, choose Smaller for good quality at a much lower size, or set an exact limit as described next.

Job portals, exam boards, visa and university applications often accept files only up to 100 KB, 200 KB or 500 KB. For PNG to PDF under 100KB, choose Under 100 KB in File size and press the button. The tool re-saves the pictures as compressed JPG images, step by step, trying smaller pixel sizes and lower quality until the PDF fits, and keeps the sharpest version that is still under your limit.

You then see the exact size and a tick confirming it is under the limit. Be aware that 100 KB is tight. One or two simple screenshots fit easily, but many pages, or images full of fine detail such as photos, maps or tiny text, may not fit while staying readable. In that case the tool tells you honestly and gives you the smallest readable file instead of an unreadable one.

A few habits make small limits easier to reach. Take screenshots of just the area that matters, since Windows+Shift+S lets you draw the area. Remove pages you do not need. And for text documents, choose Black & white under Colour in More options, which cuts the size sharply while keeping the words crisp.

Under 200 KB, Under 500 KB, Under 1 MB and a custom size in KB work the same way. Always check the limit printed on the form you are filling in. If you already have a PDF that is too big, Compress PDF can shrink it, and Compress Image or Resize Image can make single pictures smaller before you start.

Page size decides how each image sits in the PDF. For PNG to PDF A4 size pages, pick A4, the standard paper size almost everywhere in the world. Letter is the standard in the US, Canada and parts of Latin America, and the tool picks it for you on your first visit if your device is set to one of those regions. More options adds Legal, A3, A5 and a custom size in millimetres or inches.

Same as picture makes every page exactly the size of its image, with no white border. That suits screenshots, slides and artwork that will be read on screen rather than printed.

Orientation can stay on Auto: a wide image gets a landscape page and a tall one a portrait page, so nothing is shrunk more than it needs to be. Choose Portrait or Landscape to make every page the same way. Margin adds white space around each picture: None for edge to edge, Small for a neat border, or Large for printing and binding. Picture fit, in More options, chooses whether the whole image fits inside the page with nothing cut off, or fills the page completely with the edges trimmed where the shapes differ.

Open More options and set Pictures per page to 2, 4, 6 or 9 to place several images on each page in a neat grid. Two per page fits the front and back of an ID card on one sheet. Four or six per page suits a set of phone screenshots, receipts or product images, and nine makes a simple contact sheet.

Each picture is centred in its own box. Choose Thin frame under Picture border to outline every image, and File name under each picture to label them. If one box should stay empty, add a Blank page from the toolbar and drag it into position.

Hover a picture, or tap it on a phone, to see its buttons. The arrows rotate it left or right, and Rotate all in the toolbar turns every picture at once. Duplicate adds a copy right after it, and the cross removes it, with Ctrl+Z to bring it back.

Crop opens a box with handles. Drag it freely, or pick a shape: Original, Square, A4 portrait, A4 landscape or ID card. The crop changes what is shown on the page, while the full image stays inside the PDF. For a crop that also makes the file smaller, use Crop Image first and add the result here.

Click any page in the page preview to open the page editor. There you can drag a picture to a new spot, make it larger or smaller from 25% to 300%, align it to an edge or centre it again.

More options holds the extras. Page numbers adds 1, 2, 3 or Page 1 of N to every page. Watermark writes a short text such as CONFIDENTIAL or COPY on every page. Page background colours the page behind your images, and the Colour choice can turn everything grayscale or crisp black & white.

File name sets the name of the download, and Document info adds an author, subject and keywords. Your choices are remembered on this device for next time, except a password, which is never stored.

Two extras use our server and are clearly labelled: Make text searchable (OCR), which reads the text in your images in English, Hindi or Marathi, and Password-protect the PDF with AES-256 encryption. For more control over numbering in a finished PDF, use Add Page Numbers, and to sign it, use Sign PDF.

This page is set up for PNG, but it takes almost any picture: JPG, iPhone HEIC photos, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF, SVG drawings and multi-page TIFF files. Images of very different shapes, such as a tall phone screenshot next to a wide desktop one, are each scaled to fit their own page. SVG drawings are drawn sharp at a high resolution, with transparency kept. TIFF files are converted on our server and then deleted, and the tool tells you before that happens.

To go the other way, PDF to PNG turns each page of a PDF back into a PNG image. PNG to JPG makes smaller JPG copies of your images, and Remove Background cuts a logo or product out of its background so it can sit cleanly on a page.

Making a PNG to PDF on iPhone needs no app. Open this page in Safari, tap Select PNG images and choose Photo Library to pick screenshots, or Choose Files to pick images from the Files app. Tap Use camera to photograph a document straight away.

On Android, open the page in Chrome and pick the images from your gallery or file manager. On both, drag a picture with your finger to move it (press and hold for a moment first), choose a page size and a file size, then tap the button.

When the PDF is ready, Download saves it to your phone, and Share opens the phone's share sheet, so you can send it to WhatsApp, Mail or Google Drive, or save it to Files, in one tap. If a very large batch is too much for the phone, make two PDFs and join them with Merge PDF.

Your images are not uploaded. Reading the files, arranging the pages, compressing to a size limit and building the PDF all happen in your browser, on your own device. That matters when a screenshot shows a bank balance, a private chat, an ID card or a medical result.

A few optional steps cannot run in a browser and use our server instead: converting TIFF files, making text searchable (OCR) and adding a password. Each one is labelled before you use it. In browsers with strict anti-fingerprinting protection, which blocks in-browser image editing, Smaller and the size limits work by compressing the finished PDF on our server instead.

When a file does go to our server, it travels over an encrypted HTTPS connection, is processed straight away and is deleted afterwards. There is no account, no sign-up and no watermark.

Take screenshots of just the part you need. A tighter screenshot gives a larger, clearer page and a smaller file than any setting can.

Name your files in order before you add them, such as step-01.png and step-02.png. Name A–Z then puts them in the right order in one click, and Add a folder does it automatically.

Check the page preview, especially with many pages. It shows the real layout of every page, and you can click a page to adjust it.

Keep the original PNG files. The PDF is a new file, so you can make it again with different settings. To turn a PDF back into pictures, use PDF to PNG or PDF to JPG, and to turn pages in a finished PDF, use Rotate PDF.
