Your files

Our image tools (compress, resize, and all JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC converters) process your files entirely inside your web browser using canvas and WebAssembly technology. Your files are never uploaded to our servers, never stored, never transmitted, and never seen by us or anyone else. They never leave your device.

If we later add tools that genuinely require server-side processing, those pages will state it clearly, files will be transmitted over encrypted HTTPS, and they will be permanently deleted within one hour of processing. We will never make a browser-based privacy claim on a page where it is not true.

Information we collect

We do not require accounts, and we do not ask for your name, email address or any personal information to use our tools.

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure and content delivery network automatically log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, referring page and timestamp. This is used for security, abuse prevention and aggregate traffic understanding. We do not sell this data or use it to build advertising profiles.

Cookies and tracking

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels. If we use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which tools people find useful, it is configured to collect aggregate data only, without personal identification.

Third parties

Our site is served through Cloudflare, which processes network requests to protect against attacks and speed up delivery. Cloudflare acts as an infrastructure provider and does not receive your file contents, because your files are never sent over the network in the first place for browser-based tools.

Children

FlipMyFormat is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data or store your files, there is generally nothing for us to export or delete on request. If you believe we hold data about you, contact us through our contact page and we will respond.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
