Social Media Image Resizer – Every Size From One Photo

This social media image resizer turns one photo into every size you need, in one go. Everything happens in your browser. Your photo is opened, resized and saved on your own device, and nothing is uploaded. JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC photos from iPhones work, and you can drop a file on the box or paste a copied picture.

To resize image for Instagram post use, tick one of the three post sizes. Post, square is 1080 × 1080, the classic grid look. Post, portrait 4:5 is 1080 × 1350 and fills more of the screen in the feed, which is why many creators prefer it. Post, landscape is 1080 × 566, for wide scenes.

With Crop to fill, drag the dot to the subject so it stays in the frame; a landscape photo turned into a 4:5 portrait loses a lot at the sides. For carousels, use the same size for every slide so they line up.

Stories and Reels are tall, 9:16 frames. When you resize image for Instagram story or Reel use, the Story / Reel size makes a 1080 × 1920 file, and the preview shows a dashed box. The top 250 pixels and bottom 340 pixels are outside it, because that is where the profile name, the reply bar and buttons usually sit.

Keep faces, text and stickers inside the dashed box. A wide photo in a tall frame is a common case for No crop, blurred background: the whole picture sits in the middle and the blurred copy fills the rest, so you do not lose people at the edges.

Sometimes nothing may be cut: a group photo, a drawing, a recipe card, a quote graphic. To resize image for Instagram without cropping, choose No crop, blurred background or No crop, colour background, then tick the post or story size you want.

The whole photo is scaled to fit inside the frame, and the leftover space is filled. Blurred background looks natural for photos. Colour background is cleaner for graphics and screenshots; white suits a bright feed, and a brand colour makes a set of posts look alike. Portrait 4:5 often needs the least filling for photos taken on a phone.

Profile pictures are saved as squares, but every platform shows them in a circle. To resize image for Instagram profile picture use, tick Profile picture under Instagram: the file is 320 × 320, and the preview is round, so you see what will be cut at the corners before you upload.

Drag the dot so the face sits in the middle of the circle, and leave a little space around the head. The same round preview appears for the Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok and WhatsApp profile pictures. If you want a file that is actually round, with transparent corners, Circle Crop makes one.

To resize image for Facebook, tap all next to Facebook to get the four sizes in one ZIP. Post / link image is 1200 × 630, the wide shape used for shared links and many feed posts. Cover photo is 851 × 315, a long strip across the top of a page or profile. Story is 1080 × 1920 with a dashed safe area of 250 pixels at the top and bottom, and Profile picture is 320 × 320 with a round preview.

Covers are shown differently on phones and computers, so keep the main subject and any text near the centre. Crop to fill with the dot on your subject works well; for a logo on a cover, No crop, colour background keeps every edge.

To resize image for YouTube thumbnail use, tick Thumbnail under YouTube: the result is 1280 × 720, the 16:9 shape of the player. Thumbnails are seen small, so a clear face and large text work best; crop close with the dot on the face.

Channel banner is 2560 × 1440. The banner is cut very differently on TVs, computers and phones, so the preview shows a dashed box in the middle, about 1546 × 422 pixels, that stays visible on most screens. Put your channel name and logo inside it. Profile picture is 800 × 800 with a round preview.

To resize image for LinkedIn, there are four sizes. Post image is 1200 × 627 for the feed. Profile cover is 1584 × 396, a thin banner behind your photo; part of it is covered by the round profile picture, so keep important things away from the lower left. Profile picture is 400 × 400 with a round preview, and Company logo is 300 × 300, shown square.

For a professional headshot, use Crop to fill and place the dot between the eyes. For a company logo on a plain background, No crop, colour background with your brand colour keeps the full logo.

To resize image for Twitter, now called X, the tool has three sizes. Post image is 1600 × 900, a 16:9 shape that shows well in the timeline. Header is 1500 × 500, the wide strip at the top of a profile. Profile picture is 400 × 400 with a round preview.

The header is partly covered by the profile picture and looks different on phones, so keep text away from the edges. When the post shape cuts your picture badly, try No crop, blurred background.

TikTok has Video cover at 1080 × 1920, with a dashed safe area that keeps clear of the caption and buttons: 160 pixels at the top, 480 at the bottom and 120 on the right. TikTok Profile picture is 200 × 200.

Pinterest has Standard pin 2:3 at 1000 × 1500, the tall shape that stands out in the grid, and Square pin at 1000 × 1000. WhatsApp has Profile picture at 500 × 500 and Status at 1080 × 1920. Threads has Post, portrait at 1080 × 1350.

With one size ticked, the button reads Download image and saves a single file. Tick Custom size to add any width and height from 16 to 8000 pixels, for a website banner, an email header or a size a platform has just changed. It uses the same fit and focus point as the other sizes.

Under File, choose JPG or PNG. JPG is best for photos and keeps files small; the Quality slider runs from 60 to 100 and starts at 90, which looks clean on every platform. PNG is lossless, so choose it for graphics with text, logos and screenshots. If a file is still too heavy for an upload limit, Compress Image makes it lighter.

Your photo is opened, resized and saved by your browser, and nothing is sent to our server: no file, no preview, no copy.
